Supervision is a monthly compliance problem

BCBA supervision tracking means recording, every month, each trainee's fieldwork hours, how many of those hours were supervised, the number of supervisor contacts, observations with clients and the share of individual versus group supervision, then checking those numbers against BACB requirements before the month closes.

BCBA supervision questions

How many supervised fieldwork hours do I need for the BCBA?
Under the BACB fieldwork standards that took effect in 2022, Supervised Fieldwork requires 2,000 hours and Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork requires 1,500 hours. Confirm the current numbers in the BACB handbook, since requirements change.
What percentage of fieldwork must be supervised each month?
At least 5% of fieldwork hours in each supervisory period for Supervised Fieldwork and at least 10% for Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork, with a minimum number of supervisor contacts and at least one observation with a client. Our tracker checks these for every month.
How do I track BCBA supervision hours?
Log each day's fieldwork hours, supervised hours, supervision type and whether the supervisor observed you with a client. A tracker then totals each month and flags any requirement not met. Our BCBA Fieldwork Hours Tracker does this automatically in Excel or Google Sheets.
